Key Features:

• Auto-Shutoff Flexibility: The DTNVS includes an innovative auto-shutoff feature that activates when the goggles are flipped up onto a helmet or when each optical pod is rotated upwards. This automatic shutoff helps preserve battery life and ensures the system is only on when needed. The user can disable this feature if “always on” functionality is preferred, offering maximum flexibility for activities like fast-roping or climbing.
• Independent Pod Rotation: With the ability to rotate each pod individually, users can adjust their viewing for various scenarios, such as using a thermal scope or operating with a single monocular. This feature also allows for quick access to the goggles in tight spaces, as the pods can be collapsed quickly without the need to flip the entire goggle down.
• Long Battery Life: The DTNVS is powered by a single CR123a battery, providing over 25 hours of operation, which is approximately double the runtime of many similar binocular night vision devices that use AA batteries. The enhanced battery life eliminates the need for additional battery ports or packs.
• Servicing and Maintenance Flexibility: Unlike proprietary BNVDs, the DTNVS uses PVS-14 style optics, which allows for easier servicing, lens replacements, and upgrades. The adjustable diopter ensures optimal focus for users who require corrective lenses. Additionally, optional inter-pupillary distance (IPD) stops are available, though most users operate the device without them.
• Streamlined Design: Featuring MX10160 format tubes with automatic gain control (brightness adjustment), the DTNVS provides high-quality imagery. The user interface is simple, with one control knob to toggle between OFF, ON, and IR modes. The DTNVS is compatible with other popular goggles such as the RNVG and GPNVG, and shares controls commonly used in devices like the PVS-23 and ANVIS 9.
